Thanks, although I dont think anyone will go see Closer to enjoy it. You kinda experience it or just endure it. But you know, being a clever boy and all, enjoy just sounds better. :D

Sooo, ok, lol, am I the only one that thinks Before Sunset could just as easily be categorized a comedy as it can be a drama?

I mean there's a lot of humor in it, and its conversatioalist humor but it's constant enough (and a lot funnier than most "comedies") for me to to say its a dramedy.

*sigh*

No one else thinks so? :P

Lame so I'll have to revise:

Drama:
01 The Aviator
02 Closer
03 Finding Neverland
04 Million Dollar Baby
05 Kinsey (or Hotel Rwanda, or Collateral)

Musical / Comedy:
01 Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
02 Ray
03 Sideways
04 Spanglish
05 The Phantom of the Opera (or The Incredibles)

Golden Globes tend to like famous people, and it has been argued elsewhere that they like Jim Carrey and Tom Cruise (they gave Carrey award for Truman Show). If Eternal Sunshine gets a nomination anywhere this year, it will likely be at the Golden Globes.

That's my thinking. I don't think Phantom or Incredibles is a sure thing at all.

Given the lukewarm reviews, I don't see Spanglish getting nominated. I'd replace it with The Incredibles. HPFA loves musicals, so The Phantom of the Opera is in. This is a rare year where the Comedy/Musical category is actually very strong.

I am tempted to make a few changes:
1. YEs, they love musicals, but The Phantom of the Opera? The quality is still very questionable, and judging by reviews so far it could be a complete disaster. You can't evne include it as a crowd pleaser cause that's usually reserved for light fun films, not a film aobut a disfigured man terrorizing people. hmmmm. Ray might have a better chance.

2. Collateral. Tom cRuise. It's the Golden Globes. Maybe I should have included the film/Tom in my predictions.

Just to name a few examples.

But I'll leave my predictions as they are just for the fun of it.

Most like to surprise: Laura Dern for We Don't Live Here Anymore (and I'm including Julie Delpy in my predictions, so...

Rod.... I, as well, question where Before Sunset should end up.

I think everyone is way underestimating Phantom of the Opera.

Comedy/Musical

Phantom
Sideways
Incredibles/Shrek 2
Ray
Spanglish/Eternal Sunshine

Best Actress: Uma got one for volume 1,I think she can score another one and possibly the win!
