...who thinks Will Smith should at least get nominated this year for his work in I Am Legend? It was better than his performace last year, it is the soul reason the film is any good, and even critics who gave the film a bad review still praised his performance.

I do, the movie's genre just stops it. Which is bull if you ask me.

He was very solid, but I can name at least 20 performances that top his this year. What the hell does at least mean? So you're saying he might even deserve a win? lmao?!?!!?!?

He's very good, but in all honesty, outside of "Ali," he hasn't delivered a performance in his career worthy of a nomination. Don't get me wrong, he's so fun to watch, he's got a ton of charisma, and he can handle any genre...but he simply isn't a strong enough actor [at least, from the roles he's done so far] to be truly Oscar-worthy. In my opinion, Hanks was notably better in Cast Away, even if IAL was a much more entertaining film, and Smith really seems to play Smith in every movie [aside from, as I've said, "Ali"]. If he does more stuff like "Ali," the Oscar nominations will come to him since he's such a huge name...but movies like "I Am Legend," which ask for Will Smith's charisma and not so much his acting, won't get him any nominations. They will gain him more popularity, however.

And what if it's a musical?

Have you seen Legend? He plays the whole psychological aspect.
