Where the hell is Over the Hedge??!??
That was the best animated film last year. Oh well, Cars will do, but why'd they waste a nomination on that POS Monster House?

 Re: Animated/Documentary/Foreign Language Discussion Thread
I see no change from my predictions one month ago and no reason to give an explanation. They're all 95% locked. Though I guess you could make a decent argument that Pan's is only 94% though, as voters might not find a fantasy worthy of winning Foreign Language film, and go for The Lives of Other instead. Still, those ranking haven't changed at all.

Foreign film is kinda interesting because although everyone is assuming it will be pan's labyrinth, none of the films have really been up against each other so far this year...with volver and letters from iwo jima winning most foreign film awards.
box office means little since you can only vote if you have seen ALL films in this category so pan's labyrinth gets no advantage because of that. it's fantasy aspect kinda hurts it. multiple nominations don't mean much either since you have to see all films to vote for best foreign film, not so for other categories so again that might not give much of an advantage to pans. (think amelie)
still pan's labyrinth has much better reviews than any other film this year, any film in the category, amelie, and any film in a long long time for that matter so i think it will take it even if im not confident about it.
best documentary will go to an inconvenient truth, im sure about that
animated...cars has won everything til now so i won't bet against it even though happy feet has better reviews.
