Whether acting, film or technically related, what humorously and creatively witty
and politically incorrect new Oscar award categories would you like seeing offered
at the 2007 Oscars (and all future Oscars) despite your knowing there's zero
chance such an Oscar would be offered.

There's only two awards that I think they really, really need to introduce to the Oscars, and that's the people's choice for best picture of the year. The ratings will keep going down, and I think it'll take them a few years to realize that this type of award would revitalize the Oscars. It's getting more and more disconnected with the mainstream, and going out in their own direction. Also, with Youtube, myspace, etc, more and more individuals are becoming more and more influential. Another award suggestion would be for user submitted Short/long films, where the Oscars award films submitted straight from just about anyone, and the best short/long film are awarded. There is a great need for Hollywood to embrace the Internet age, as they really haven't utilized it fully. The music industry is just now realizing how at this point, but the movie industry hasn't to the same extent. But with Youtube, etc, there will be more and more interest of user created movies, over traditional movies, so the Oscars need to realize that, and embrace that somehow, and bring the Oscars into the 21st century.

The movie industry is beginning to embrace the internet age, the technology was just developed to allow people to buy and then burn movies off the internet. So that's a step.
