The Departed
Dreamgirls
Half Nelson
Little Children
Little Miss Sunshine
United 93

Best Foreign Language Film - Volver

Best Director - Martin Scorsese, The Departed

Best Actor - Forest Whitaker, The Last King of Scotland

Best Actress - Helen Mirren, The Queen

Best Supporting Actor - Eddie Murphy, Dreamgirls

Best Supporting Actress - Cate Blanchett, Notes on a Scandal/Babel (NBR likes to award a person in multiple films)

Best Acting by an Ensemble - Babel

Best Original Screenplay - Little Miss Sunshine

Breakthrough Performance Actor - Ryan Gosling, Half Nelson

Breakthrough Performance Actress - Jennifer Hudson, Dreamgirls

I think something like Little Children can come in and win, i dont think it will be a front-runner(though a few may make the top 10).

The Queen and Dreamgirls tend to be the most-predicted, but Little Children and Little Miss Sunshine seem potential contenders.

I'd agree the smart money's on The Queen, but Little Miss Sunshine won't stop nagging me.

Here is last year's thread: http://www.worldofkj.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15078. Lecter posted in the morning pacific time, so I'm expecting to see the results when waking up. Very excited too.

Shit! I don't have three hours! I have about 90 minutes! I need satisfaction before a particularly bad Biology lab this afternoon.

Can't believe it's been a year since last year's guilds and etc. began... I still remember the Brokeback reaction. Time went by so goddam quickly.

I know. And it was only two years ago when people were saying "They aren't going to snub Scorsese AGAIN, after snubbing him for that rapist!"

Time flies by SO DAMN QUICKLY!

Please, you think THIS is dorky?

There are only three mornings that I can wake up early all by myself: My birthday, Christmas...and Oscar nomination morning.

SO FUCKING PSYCHED.

Hm, supposedly "leaked" winners from IMDb:

Best Picture: Notes on A Scandal
Best Director: Bill Condon (Dreamgirls)
Best Actor: Peter O'Toole (Venus)
Best Actress: Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls)
Best Supporting Actor: Eddie Murphy (Dreamgirls)
Best Supporting Actress: Rinko Kikuchi (Babel)
Best Foreign Film: Volver

It's IMDb, hey, they almost seem crazy enough to be partially true.

If so, Notes on a Scandal? Shack's bragging will probably put Maverikk's to shame.
