I think we're forgetting a contender, according to Empire Magazine. Lost in Translation, with killer reviews and a great performance by Bill Murray and teh hot Scarlett Johannson, could take up the fifth Oscar spot...
oh...snap.
that was last year.
stupid brits who get movies five months + later than obese AND stupid americans do.

Who the hell is this critic? He has the crummiest taste ever. Hero at #3? Capturing the Friedman's was god awful, and Finding neverland, while having the potential to be an excellent film, wasn't quite there. should definately not be up as high as four, and above Kill Bill, Incredibles, etc.
I think everyone who follows this thread should, before the end of the year, put their own list up here, to see how close we are to these critics?

Phil Villarreal (Arizona Daily Star)
1. Before Sunset
2. The Aviator
3. Sideways
4. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
5. Kill Bill Vol. 2
6. Million Dollar Baby
7. Hero
8. In Good Company

6 The Manchurian Candidate
7 Collateral
8 Saved!
9 Kill Bill: Volume 2
10 Fade to Black
Shawn Edwards must haven't seen any movies from November on, and I think it's a disservice for a critic to give top 10 without seeing at least all the movies with good buzz.

Shawn Edwards does have Hotel Rwanda on his list, though...
As for the other guy, he's now become my favorite critic. It's about time someone gave "Torque" the recognition it deserved!
