 So...
I was going to bump the Awards Roundtable thingy, but since there's no bumping threads here, I'll just say it...
I called the Crash win like a month ago, and every one thought I was teh crazy.
I wish I was wrong.

You know, I was *that* close to making a "Crash will win Best Picture" thread about 1.5 months ago, but I didn't want to start another losing club. Yeah, fine, don't believe me then.
Also, in one of Mav's junk "WALK THE LINE WILL DESTROY! ARRRR!" threads back in about November/December, I specifically said that Crash would have a better chance at winning than Walk the Line, if only it could get nominated. Kypade called me crazy.

i don't actually remember that thread, but...
Back in November that WAS (or would have been) crazy. That was a random bullshit guess...at best.

Hence the reason why Oscar races aren't much fun to me: Everyone makes it out to be calling the right answer first, instead of just following the awards. Bleh.

Let's face it, when you got (usually better than) a 1/5 chance of "calling it", whoopdedoo. Here' is one of Loyal's cookies.

Makeshift, I so called it before you.
In 1987, as I was crawling across the living room floor, not even at the tender age of 1, my first words were "Crash will win Best Picture in 19 years."
By golly, I was right!

I'm talking more about the two months or so leading up to the anouncements of the nominations.

I only predicted "Crash will win Best Picture" in that year, so imagine my shock when Crash #1 was released in 1996...
