Munich will win Best Editing and that's it.
GNGL will walk away empty-handed, methinks.

I would actually not be disappointed if that were to happen.
Not feeling it at all, though.

If Munich wins Best Editing, I'll shoot this baby. Got it, AMPAS?

Crash will win screenplay. It might also win Editing, but I am leaning towards Munich. A Best Picture nominee will win Editing.

Actually, and I'm not predicting this yet or anything, but dont be surprised if The Constant Gardener swoops in and takes editing.

The Constant Gardener will win one. Most likely Rachel, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it take editing. Fernando Meirelles isn't going home empty-handed twice in a row.

At first I thought if Crash got something (aside from Dillon, who I'm sure is winning) it would be this. But then I figured, they wouldn't give Haggis a win in the same category two years running. If they give him something, it would be in a different category, most likely direction or BP, though I think he won't get any of them. I just think, because of his win here last year, its the nomination he's least likely to take home this year.

Haggis didn´t win last year. Sorry.

Crash will get Best Song.
Munich will get Best Editing.
GNAGL will get Best Original Screenplay.
Brokeback gets the two biggies.
Everyone is happy.
PEACE, Mike.

Constant Gardener's editing is so show-offy and stunning. It's clearly been noticed as groundbreaking and vital to the movie's success.
Claire Simpson's job here has had buzz for a while.
On the other hand, Munich has the "We cut the picture in a week and a half" thing going for it.
Meanwhile, you have Crash's "Oh, man, look how we've intertwined all these stories....no, NOT like fucking Robert Altman!"
One of the three will win. I'd bet on Gardener or Crash right now.

Exactly.
That is the reason why most are predicting him to win actually.
I think that Hustle & Flow might actually win Best Song.

Hustle & Flow's number WILL win Best Song. It's a way of awarding Terrence Howard without, you know, actually rewarding him.

Honestly, I would not be surprised as much is Munich did win BP. While I think BBM is a near lock, and likely will walk away with it, if anything surprises it would be Munich in my opinion.

Without a PGA nom and a Golden Globe nom as well as without the DGA win and with a small-ish box-office like Munich's I can almost rule out its win.

I need to get my memory checked by the doctor. Wait, who did win it, then?
And if he didn't, that is going to make a difference, and you're right he might pull of screenplay. Ah well, mark one more misfire on my 72 winner entry. I'm aiming for 0/15. But I think Hoffman's win is going to ruin my losing streak.

That's my reasoning as well. If it couldn't even garner NOMINATIONS at the Globes and Guilds, it's going to be really hard pressed to WIN at the Oscars. So, in my books, it just isn't happening.
PEACE, Mike.

Sideway and Eternal Sunshine won the respective screenplay category.

Yeah, Munich just doesn't have the WIDE support needed.
