For Brokeback Mountain Fans New To The Award Season
Once everything is said and done in March, are you planning on sticking around for future award seasons?
I asked the same question to fantasy fans who also found new interest in the Oscars and awards in general following LOTR.

That's a good question.
My big Oscar moment was the year Titanic opened and swept the Oscars. Ever since that I year I have always been interested in the Oscars and always watched the show, regardless if I was not enthralled by the nominees. Just the whole awards atmosphere intrigued me, and I always managed to find someone to root for.
PEACE, Mike.

I have been interested in the Oscars since "Silence of the lambs"
So I guess that is a big fat yes.
EDIT: Ooops... It was for new fans, sorry.

This isn't my first year following Oscars (started with Titanic in 98), but it IS the first time I've been active on this Oscar forum. I plan on staying, so yes, yes I will be back

I liked the exclusiveness (well, not really exclusiveness, but...) before better.

The more Oscar fans the merrier. I hope that some of those Oscarwatch fans come over now that we are linked. I enjoy this stuff even more than the box office stuff.

I've always been a follower of the Oscars, but I never posted here. Mostly because I never really felt that connected or invested in any of the films and was more "eh" about whoever won. This year, I've really fallen in love with a lot of the movies that are going to be (hopefully) nominated (Such as Walk the Line and Brokeback) and a lot of the actors/actresses who are going to nominated. I guess that's why I've been checking in here and actually posting a lot more. But I do plan to stick around now.. this forum has become one of my favorites .

The exclusiveness of the posters that once frequented the forums?

I've followed movies, boxoffice, and awards shows since the early 90's.

Ditto for me. I remember I was 11 years old when I "discovered" the Oscars. In fact, the very first Entertainment Weekly issue I ever bought was the one handicapping the 1997 Oscar race when Titanic swept it all. I still have it upstairs in my room actually hehe
