 The Producers reviews/thread
The Producers
So I thought it'd be worthwhile to make a thread out of this, as its still alive.
Its started off very well at RT. It has 4 in thus far(5 if you count the soundtrack review like they do), they're all extremely positive. 8.7/10 average rating at this point.

Despite the fact that the trailer looks pretty awful to me I haven't really read one bad thing about this.
This looks like yet another film that I will be wrong about (maybe).
I don't see Universal pushing this before Munich or even Kong the way things are going, but Broderick got some notice for this and could get a nomination?
It's got some Globe potential but, at the moment, I see Walk the Line taking it still for musical/comedy.

It will score well with the Golbes, I see at least three noms for it there, probably more. As for the Oscars...I just think Universal will push the other flicks more.

When the buzz says Hollywood Foreign Press hates it, it's hard to see it going anywhere.

Just checked out the reviews, and the bad reviews from Levy and The Hollywood Reporter eerily reminds me of Memoirs. This one certainly looks dead as well and may get completely shutout at Oscar.

Except for song... since it's Mel Brooks and specially with Anne Bancroft's death this year and all..
