Post The Nominations Game: RESULTS PAGE 3!!
All right. The annual Mojo/Kj Nomiations game will begin with its 3rd host: yours truly.

Guidelines
There are ten items in this game (although there may be more than 10 categories to predict) along with Bonus questions and Deadlines. For each category, predict the films/actors/actresses that you think will end up on the final Oscar ballot. Not all the categories are worth the same amount of points; point values will be specified by category. The only big change I have made is probably the nature of the point values per category. I never understood why we gave so many points to the most discussed and arguably easier categories to predict and less points to the harder (albeit, less prestigious) categories.
For acting nods, please specify for which movie the actor/actress will be nominated for.

Oscar Nominees Prediction Game

1. Predict the 5 Best Picture nominees (6 points each)

2. Predict the 5 Best Director Nominees (6 points each)

3. Predict the 5 Best Actor Nominees (7 points each)

4. Predict the 5 Best Actress Nominees (7 points each)

5. Predict either the 5 Best Supporting Actor Nominees OR the 5 Best Supporting Actress Nominees (7 points each)

6. Predict either the 5 Best Original Screenplay Nominees OR the 5 Best Adapted Screenplay Nominees (7 points each)

7. Predict either the 5 Best Documentary (non-short) Nominees OR the 5 Best Foreign Language Film Nominees (6 points each)

8. Predict either the 5 Best Original Score Nominees OR the 5 Best Original Song Nominees (6 points each)

9. Predict the 3 Best Animated Feature Nominees (5 points each)

10. Predict any other 3 categories of your choice (5 points each)
--- These can include the categories you didn't predict in questions 5-8

Bonus Questions:

1. Which Studio will recieve the most nominations? (3 points)

2. Which film will recieve the most nominations and how many nominations will it recieve?
---I'm looking for a name and a number. It's double or nothing. (10 points)

3. How many of the acting nominees will be first time nominees? (5 points)

Tie Breakers (if there are no exact winners, it's whoever comes the closest to the numbers):

How many nominations will the studio with the most nominations recieve?

How many actors and actresses (lead and supporting) will be nominated for films released before December?

How many different movies will be nominated from the Big 8 categories (Picture, Director, Lead and Supp. Actor, Lead and Supp. Actress, Original and Adapted Screenplay)?

Deadlines

The first deadline is November 20 (Sunday) by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (8:59 p.m. Pacific). And to be fair, not a minute more for anyone. IF this is your last updated or last posted entry for the game, you will recieve 22 Bonus Points

The second deadline is set at December 12 (Monday) by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (8:59 p.m. Pacific). Those whose last updated entry are before the 12th (GG nominations due out on the 13th) then you will recieve 16 Bonus points

The third deadline is January 15 (Sunday) by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (8:59 p.m. Pacific). Those whose last updated entry are before the 15th (GG ceremony is on 16th) then you will recieve 10 Bonus points

The final deadline for entry is January 30 by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (8:59 p.m. Pacific).

There is a total possible score of 350 points plus 18 from bonuses and up to 22 from deadlines.
So, if you submit before Nov.20 and are correct in all categories, you can have a score of up to 390!

Please PM or contact me if there seems to be anything wrong or that you don't understand.

Everyone should post their ballots as has been done in the past. That way you can just edit it whenever you feel like changing it. Your last edited date will be the one taken into consideration for the deadline bonuse.

Hehe. I wasn't even in here. The last and only time I joined was for the 2002 game in BOM... I was one of the few people to call Adrien Brody the winner.

Raffiki, when's the actual Oscar noms announced?

Yes, you have to pick one. Well, technically, you dont have to fill out anything you don't want but that kind of defeats the purpose of competing in the game cuz you won't get any points for it.

And about the supp. categories question...
You have to pick one for #5. Then #10 says predict any 3 categories you want. So, you can predict the other category that you didn't choose in #10.

I did have Jar Head but based off of what I've been hearing about it latley (bad reviews, slow war movie) it wont be nominated, I changed it at the last moment with Capote (flipped a coin for that and Brokeback Mountain.)
