The Queen just became the 3rd film of the year to receive 10 or more 100's at metacritic. The other two being United 93 (the best film of the year!) with 19, and The Departed (the second best film of the year!) with 12.

All the great reviews for The Departed and The Queen are really hurting Little Miss Sunshine directly. The three films in the post above should sweep almost all critics awards out there this year.

FOOF is down to 57% on RT.
Granbted, that's with only 7 reviews, and none of the rotten ones are COTC, but still, it's kinda funny, like when Crank was at 100% with 9 reviews.

Flags is faltering... good. There was something too "generic, Oscar war movie" about it, I want my nominees to be original and fresh. Not to mention there's been too much Easthaggis lately. I'm still a bit surprised at the early reception, but ultimatley I think this year is better for it.
I think Little Children is back in the race, 42 fresh and 7 rotten now. Nice comeback after a worrisome start.
To be honest though I think Field has a better chance than the movie itself.

I agree. New Line seems to be faltering the release. Not adding to your 5 theaters in your second week, after a dissapointing PTA less than $20,000...I don't think it'll cut it for BP.

Well, yes, - we should be worried - if you take the word of mostly youthful internet 'reviewers' as a reliable guage of anything. A pan from Planet Sick Boy?! Gee, you got me convinced. See, what I'm getting from this is not just the split between net critics & print reviewers but the age difference (yes, I know Poland isn't a kid but his review was so OTT I can't take it seriously). It was always said Flags was a film for adults & the early reviews seem to reflect that. The kids dislike it - not enough action, too long - while the adults (most of 'em anyway) find it generally powerful, thoughtful, well structured etc. Course if a load of big shot print critics weigh in next week hammering the film then I'll have to rethink my thesis(!) but this is what it looks like to me. The film isn't going to play well with teens & college age students but a lot of older viewers are going to be much more appreciative of it.

A whole bunch of review just came in for Infamous, and it continues to hold it's own. (I'm sure I'll like it much better than the slow and plodding Capote)
It's possible that it could get above 70% and be in line for something.

Infamous inches closer to 70%
If Marie Antoinette keeps getting good reviews, Kirsten will probably be nominated.
The Queen is back to 8.5 with a 72-1 ratio

Now at 77-1, The Queen is continuing its awe-inspiring, astounding performance with the critics.

The Queen also now has an 8.6 COTC rating. Just insane.

Hollywood Reporter and Variety both gave The Prestige negative reviews. Would'a thunk the best reviewed movie next week might be Marie Antoinette?

But I assume you still think that Flags is more likely to make $100 million than The Departed?

BTW, guys, doesn't it somehow piss you off as well that The Queen was given Rotten by BBC? Heh I mean how incredible would it have been for it to still stand at 100%?!

And then you get annoyed when people call you fanboy...
Have it crossed your mind that you may not like the movie? And you could find yourself agreeing with those evil internet reviewers? I guess not...

A rave for Flags from Washington Post will be right around the corner.
Im curious who will be the first cotc to give it a negative. It'll be funny to see Flags at around 60% on RT and 100 on Metacritic

Entertainment Weekly and The New York Times have quotes on the new TV spot that I saw that were raving about it.
