It's says something when The Daily Show devotes 15 minutes to the Oscars and make's only one 15 second joke about Best Picture. He spent more time ragging on Swank's weird speech and Penn.

Now it's the Daily Show, huh? You DO realize that the OSCARS was the subject, not the movie that they've praised many times on that show, right? Every year, they devote a section of time to THE SHOW, because THE SHOW is a big story. It really looks like sour grapes are really hard at work here. If I had went with my heart last year, and said Mystic River will win just because it was my favorite, I would be too embarrassed to keep reaching desperately for reasons to diminish the movie that you had been told for months would be the winner. Get over it, Million Dollar Baby is the most loved of all of the Best Picture nominees, both by the people, and by the academy. Only the sour grapes crew is complaining or trying to belittle it.

Foxx' spech was, as I expected, the best of the evening, just like it was at the Golden Globes.

I found the OOOOOHHH....HEYYYYYYYY was annoying, as was that fake "cry" he gave that lasted for 2 seconds, and then his had absolutely no teary eyed look when he looked up. It was amazing how fast his eyes dried up, as if he wasn't actually crying at all. That was phoney.

To comment on the Rock monologue talking about Jude Law, and then Sean Penn's response, I think Penn was being a complete moron. The thing that Rock totally did right in the monologue was that he also made fun of HIMSELF. Rock made fun of HIMSELF, too. And it's not like Rock went all out and badmouthed him. He made a joke. A JOKE. For goodness sakes. Penn is a fantastic actor, but a lousy, lousy person. I would never want to be around him and his completely humourless attitude.

PEACE, Mike ;)
