No, Jack won't be winning anything. It was obvious that Jack was going supporting from the getgo. It's going to be a sure nomination, but the trophy will be somebody elses. Jack's involvement in the Departed will assure it winning Best Picture, though.

Im starting to feel as though will be thinking the oscars are the BET awards this year
Dreamgirls - Best Picture
Will Smith - Best Actor
Whitaker or Murphy ( if Whitaker most likely goes for lead ) - Best Supporting
Hard to say, but if Smith performances which so far early buzz says it's between Toole and Smith and if Dreamgirls lives up to expectations and no other film surprises it seems like a damn good chance something like the above could happen.

Babel was horrible Brad Pitt was pretty good in it though, but nothing outstanding and his screen time was pretty minimal.. like 10-20 minutes if even and it was always him doing the same thing (stressing/crying).

Unless Dreamgirls sucks, he's locked for the win. Why are you embarrassed to say it?

This year is even more wild than last for Best Supporting Actor, heh. Jack, Eddie, and Pitt are all equal, Wahlberg is hot on their tails... awesome.

You forgot Michael Sheen.
Can't forget Michael Sheen.
And Adam Beach has about as much of a chance as I do.
Otherwise, I agree, although Brad Pitt may be a little more vulnerable than we all expected. Just a little. Depends on how those unpredictable Babel-winds blow.

Affleck is more vulnerable than Pitt. In fact, I still have Sheen and Arkin ahead of him. As for Sheen, Keener wasn't nominated for Globes either last year, and Sheen had a more showy role (and a much better performance, I'd say) than Keener in Capote.
