Is Best Actor next?
I still say Will Smith wins in an upset.
I will likely be horribly wrong, of course.

I liked the Departed a lot more than Goodfellas, but I'm not really a fan of gangster movies to be quite honest.

Fuck.
Mirren won. How much worse could these fucking awards get? God, the worst fucking nominated role and she fucking wins it just because she can do a fucking good impersonation. What the fuck. I officially hate the Golden Globes, and since she'll win the Oscar too, I fucking hate the Academy.

Did I hear somewhere that the Queen was expanding again soon? I missed it when it came around last month or whenever.

Hmmmm.... CNN:
Quote: (CNN) -- "Dreamgirls" cemented its status as a movie to beat by winning best comedy or musical at the Golden Globes Monday night. MSNBC: Quote: “Dreamgirls†solidified its Academy Awards prospects Monday with three Golden Globes, including best musical or comedy and acting honors for supporting players Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson.
The press likes Dreamgirls apparently. I truly is Departed vs. Dreamgirls at this point I think.

Did Mirren win yet? I can swear that Oscarwatch put her up as a winner and now took her off!

Technically it's not really an impersonation, she played a Queen that isn't often seen or photographed throughout the film. Sure... her on camera stuff was dead on, but the life of The Queen is that Mirren brings life to her in private.

I know, we've been through this. She still impersonated. It was good, but far from great in my opinion, far from it.

Sometimes you're right, sometimes you're wrong.
Yay Forest Whitaker. I really need to see Last King of Scotland.

No, you don't. Wait for the DVD. Seriously.
I'm all for all of the minority roles this year, hopefully the Academy shakes things up as well though.
