No matter what happens with actor or best picture, winner of the night is Fox Searchlight thanks to Birdman and Budapest.

So I'm glad it didn't win. GBH had a good score, so I'm fine with it winning. Blame your theater, not the movie. I've heard other people had the same problem. It wasn't just my theater. No, many theaters had a problem calibrating their sound systems to adapt to Interstellar's mix. It wasn't the film's fault. When I saw it in RPX I heard every line of dialog perfectly. Your theater's sound system is just shitty. I saw it twice, in a regular theater and in IMAX - I had issues hearing different parts multiple times. So what we've learned in this thread is that a lot of theaters weren't ready for Interstellar's mix. Sucks for you guys.

Wouldn't it be hilarious is Birdman won Picture/Director but Redmayne wins actor?

I still cling to a thread of hope that Linklater takes Director. Birdman can have BP and BA.

I just do not get Birdman beyond a broad admiration for its technical wizardry and the fevered energy of the actors. It does not reach my soul.

Keaton was great, but I really hope Redmayne wins this.

Poor Steve Carell. He was the frontrunner, and now he'd be lucky to finish fourth.

Maybe Boyhood does have a shot at Best Picture.

Keaton was great, but I think they got this one right.
I didn't in my predictions, but that seems to be the trend for the latter half of the show.

I feel bad for Keaton, as he'll never have another opportunity like this while Redmayne will have plenty more. On the other hand, this makes the rest of the night a lot more fun.

Go Felicity, but Moore is probably the most deserving (haven't seen Still Alice).
