 Re: Best Picture 2012 I'm glad it's getting good buzz. I anticipate this movie a lot, hopefully it turns out great. But it won't be an easy sell. It will need absolutely great WOM.

Thing is, Lincoln doesn't need to be amazing to win. It just needs to be very good.

Re: Best Picture 2012 Silver Linings Playbook will be very big too. But Lincoln, if a good film, is guaranteed to do $100+ million.

Re: Best Picture 2012 By the way, Lincoln had excellent reception at its NYFF viewing. Lots of comments about how surprisingly writing/dialog heavy it is (one reviewer tweeted it's Spielberg's Social Network) and pointing out how Kushner being a playwright is very obvious by the style of the script

That's doable, since I think it's being mentioned as a possible nominee for stuff like cinematography, score, film editing, etc.
