 Re: 83rd Annual OSCAR NOMINATIONS
Anyone want to do me a huge favor when this is over and write up all the noms for the main site? You know you want to! If not, I'll hopefully have time after lunch at work.

 Re: 83rd Annual OSCAR NOMINATIONS
The King's Speech is officially the front runner now with that many nominations and The Social Network getting only 8 and missing supporting actor.

No Inception in editing either, I think if there were 5 nominees it might not have gotten in over True Grit.

 Re: 83rd Annual OSCAR NOMINATIONS
The Social Network: no supporting actor Black Swan: no supporting actress or screenplay Inception: no director True Grit: no editing The Fighter: no tech outside editing
The King's Speech: everything and more
The frontrunner is pretty clear.

 Re: 83rd Annual OSCAR NOMINATIONS
Hmm...isn't this interesting: 1998: Best Picture winner: Shakespeare In Love Best supporting acting nod: Geoffrey Rush – Shakespeare in Love Upset best picture winner. 2011: Best picture frontrunner: The King's Speech Best supporting acting nod: Geoffrey Rush - The King's Speech So everytime Geoffrey Rush gets a best supporting acting nod, it's a sign of an upset best picture win?

The frontrunner is pretty clear. I wouldn't be certain about that. Avatar had the most nominations last year and it didn't help it any. I can think of other years where the film with the most nods didn't win, Bugsy comes to mind.
