Keisha had a lot of buzz, carrying many "Best Breakthrough" mentions, but she had been mainly campaigned as supporting, since she was thought to be too young to compete for a lead spot. People were especially convinced when SAG nominated her in the supporting category. That was one time where Academy absolutely got it right by nominating her in the lead category.

Keisha was fantastic and that nomination was one of the more shining examples of Oscar foresight in the last 10 years.
