Yes, but there weren't many out this year that I liked that didn't have Depp in it. Don't know if 40-Year-Old Virgin could manage to get nominated for any Oscars, and I'm quite sure Star Wars will be nominated, so it isn't really much wishful stuff like this thread is about.

Look like you're thinking of performances more, so Amy from Junebug has to be one then.
For me, it's pretty easy: the cast of Memoirs.

Nah. She was great, but I don't know her well enough to really want her to get a nom or not. The remaining are one direction nom, and the other ones are acting.

Points!
You and Xia both caught Gong Li. You're right about Hurt too, and he was right about Strathairn. Only the direction one left now, and that should be easy easy easy to guess.

I'd really like to see Mortensen and Fiennes just get nods for best actor, both did wonderful jobs in the movie they were in and really made the movie that much better because of their performances.

All the above still hold true except Ziyi, who I would like to see get in for supporting for 2046.
Some others I would love to see happen:
- Janusz Kaminski for cinematography (Munich)
- Eric Bana for lead actor (Munich)
- Doyle et al for cinematography (2046)
- James Newton-Howard for score (King Kong)
- King Kong for best picture

I am with you as I was going to post Keira Knightley as she seems to be falling off the radar of alot of talk and anything that came from A History of Violence and then next Munich as it was the best movie of the year.
