Impact...last year I'm pretty sure Oscarwatch asked people not to hotlink their FYC pics.
Might wanna just link em, or rehost em (photobucket.com, imageshack.us, etc.)

OoO
The Shoes ad is good. Highlights Diaz's best scene.... but, in all honesty, it didn't deserve any sort of recognition....
That aside, these posters sorta suck.

Running dowwwwwwwwn the line here.
Good Night & Good Luck's poster is a minor disappointment! That scene was great, and I can already replay a thousand different positions from which I would have photographed that. A crotch shot doesn't work, imo. I'm indifferent towards this one, though I would have selected a different angle/scene...
Charlie... um, ick.
Corpse Bride is fine.
Howl's Moving Castle is decent.
I like the P&P shot, and it seems to capture the spirit of the film to a degree. It's nice.
The Constant Gardener shows like an HGTV romcom, not the stunning epic it is.
I adore the poster for Libertine, though I haven't a clue what that film is about... yay ignorance...
... And Geisha looks gorgeous.
So far, the only one I've really liked is that Sith poster with the tease shot of Yoda. It's really gorgeous, imo.

Do you see em all, lennier? I'm pretty sure I did before, and judging by your response you must...but suddenly I only see like 3 of em.
more:
These came from this thread, but they are marked and from eBay, so I'm just gonna link em. (more at the OW thread)
The Libertine
Match Point
Match Point
The Family Stone
Jarhead

Yeah, I see em all.
Both of the Stone ads are pretty mediocre. I'm sure that the image qualities are low, maybe that's why I don't like em. Heh
The Cinderella Man poster is bait-ish. It seems like that movie is constantly trying too hard. I would have preferred a shot of him winning in the ring.
The Jarhead poster is fine, but I would have liked a shot of Gyllenhaal's silhouette against the burning oil fields. That sequence was simply stunning....

Yeah, that last Family Stone FYC (The Score) is UGLY. So is the Libertine.
Danny Elfman's score/songs for CHARLIE were atrocious, but at least he got an ad to match.
I really like the Match Point one, and the Pride & Prejudice ads are all nice. I also love the Good Night, and Good Luck campaign; there's just something understated and wonderful about them.
Three Burials....Jesus, I'd forgotten that was even in the mix. Somebody really screwed the pooch over there.

Also, I think that any Oscar campaign that stoops to using quotes from Leonard Maltin should be docked votes. Sorry, Walk the Line. You brought this on yourself.

I like all of these except The Libertine. Also Jarhead's are kind of ugly.
The Penguin one is my favorite. I like it better than the theatrical poster.

I'm very disappointed with the FYC ads so far. They all have been.... blah. Come on people, I could campaign for the Oscars better than this.
PEACE, Mike.

No worries. This is really only a trickle of the first wave of ads we'll see this year.
