Once again, I totally forgot about this! Sorry! I'll try to make the NEXT deadline!

By the way everyone, I'll be out of touch the next 2 or 3 days. I'll be flying to America in less than 24 hours. Have fun with NY awards and Golden Globe nominations without me!

Hey, have a safe flight.

Thanks, loyal! I intend to watch tons of movies while I'm in the USA. And a few on the plane as well. Not the best quality, but still good to pass the time.

BTW: Don't know if anyone mentioned this: For the completely snubbed category, you should deduct three points for every film that is picked wrong, otherwise you just could take all movies listed...

Second of all, you are about 3 weeks past the deadline, but you can participate in the next game, about the winners.

Isn't the last nomination deadline is January 15th?

You're right. I think school has ultimately messed up my memory. I remembered that I wanted to set the deadline earlier, but I forgot that I decided against it.

Anyway, post away the prediction and sorry for my wrong information

I think some will want to change their predictions, hehe. Thanks for correcting me, Michael.

I just realized I forgot the most nominated studio. :???: I meant to put it later, and I guess I forgot. If it wont hurt my score because of the deadline, I'll go with Miramax. (Not like I'm gonna do good anyway because I have horrible predictions, lol)

For the Visual Effects/Foreign Film option, do you have the chance to win more points with Foreign Film because there are 5? So you can get up to 25 points total with Foreign Film and only 15 with Visual Effects?

PEACE, Mike ;)

a. if we posted with one of the previous deadlines, and we wish to edit now, how does that affect the bonus pts?
b. and for that matter, how do the bonus pts work? all you had to do to get the 18 pts (l think) was put something down before the first deadline? so thats like a guarenteed 18 pts?
c. l love your sig, MikeQ. thats one of my favorite songs, ever, and l've used that exact line elsewhere as a signature...

Yes, I think that's the idea. Visual Effects category is much easier to get right since we're down to 7 films, while Foreign Language has shown its unpredictability the last few years. The chance of scoring better with Foreign Language is higher this year since I'll be totally shocked if The Sea Inside or House of Flying Daggers miss the nomination, and to a less extent, I'm confident about Chorus as well.

Which one's and why?

The Academy is horrible. Their restrictions on everything is getting a little ridiculous.

Maria Full of Grace
The Motorcycle Diaries

Each country can only submit one film, right? I don't know if that's exactly fair, because one country could have the five best movies. Why not let all 5 be nominated?
