Re: Sweeney Todd Will Win Best Picture One could argue that this is a better film than, say, Into the Wild...but honestly, how could someone think it has a better chance of getting in?
Into the Wild - a movie about freedom, nature, experiences with humans, etc... Academy-adored material
Sweeney Todd - a movie about revenge, throat-slitting, meat pies, and singing that isn't, for the most part, beautiful to listen to...as un-Academy friendly as ever film that has been considered for Best Picture before.
