Re: 2014 Contenders Discussion They both are not. Gone Girl didn't get on the AFI Top 11 list and it missed a BP nom at the Golden Globes. The Theory of Everything missed a Director nom at the Globes and is a much weaker contender in the technical categories. The Grand Budapest Hotel is well ahead of both.

Re: 2014 Contenders Discussion Is it set that Boyhood will get six noms (BP, BD, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Original Screenplay, Editing) or does it have a shot at anything else? I kinda doubt that it will miss any of those six, but I also strongly doubt it will get anything more. The Grand Budapest Hotel, Birdman and potentially Gone Girl, The Imitation Game and The Theory of Everything will get more noms.
