20 minutes until the show starts here in the UK.
I've just cracked open my first can of cider, the schnapps shooters are all lined up, and I'm completely on my own. It's times like this I wish I had friends willing to forgo work for the sake of a two-bit awards show that usually overruns until 6 am.

The only one, am I? Hmm. I'm somewhat excited.. the only reason I'm not that excited is because there is going to be very little surprises tonight. In all the big categories, it's almost definate who's going to win (the only big category I can't really decide about is Supporting Actor). But I am excited none the less.

I honestly couldn't care less who wins. I'd be moderately happy with four of the big nominees winning, and kinda nonplussed about the fifth (Crash). I'd be giddy if Witherspoon lost, but that ain't gonna happen. Not really fussed about the other categories...
In fact, I'm not entirely sure why I'm even watching.
