Yeah I'm just being extra harsh on good ol' Borgnine.

On the other hand, I just saw a double serving of Cimarron and Cavalcade. *Pukes*

That's tough, Christian. Cimarron especially. At least The Greatest Show On Earth, which I suffered through last week, has camp value up the fucking wazoo.

Speaking of Borgnine, who dies first? Borgnine or Mickey Rooney? I'm going with Ernie. Not only did he just turn 90 (!), he costarred on The Single Guy way back when. Sooner or later he'll have to pay the piper for that one.

I'm hoping the goodwill God is sure to give the Mickster as a result of appearing in Babe: Pig in the City can buy him another decade.

Titanic gets a lot of unfair bashing, despite the fact that it really is a phenomenal moviemaking achievement that deserved every award it received.

Crash is another good one. It was better than any other film nominated that year.

I'd have to say Titanic and The English Patient (for some reason I can't understand I really liked that movie).

That's what happens when you let a political science professor, not a film dude, teach the class. It's not entirely his fault; last year, he showed Do The Right Thing which apparently made the affluent white students here at the University uncomfortable and upset. As well it should.

They should have watched Bamboozled instead.

Marty is now the second worst winner of Best Picture (of those I've seen).
