We'll see if it's true or not.

So, winners so far, as I can tell:

- Arunas Matelis won for feature-film documentary for "Before Flying Back to the Earth"
- Ugly Betty won for Best Directed Comedy Series Episode.
- High School Musical won Best Directed Children's Program.

Peace,
Mike.

Congratulations to Martin Scorsese on his first DGA win!!! Much deserved. Now that will likely and hopefully translate to the Oscar win. Way to go Marty!

Peace,
Mike.

From Variety:

Scorsese takes top prize at DGA Awards
'Departed' director wins for Feature Film

The Directors Guild of America has selected Martin Scorsese as winner of its top feature trophy for his work on the gangster thriller "The Departed."

It was first victory in seven DGA nominations for Scorsese, who topped Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu for "Babel," Bill Condon for "Dreamgirls," Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris for "Little Miss Sunshine" and Stephen Frears for "The Queen."

I'm sorry, but there's something so wrong with a ceremony that honors High School Musical the same night as Martin Scorsese.

But so glad he won!

I figured it wasn't true, but it was really posted by a member, and I was still unsure about Scorsese because he's always been left out in the cold. Finally a deserving win.

Besides, it stirred things up a bit in what was seen as a predictable win. ;)

Peace,
Mike.

Best photo ever, with Spielberg presenting him the DGA (Feels like Spielberg presents all the directors awards everywhere now, lol. Has Spielberg presented him with all the honours this year; BFCA, Globe and DGA? Crazy).

And DiCaprio at his side too. So sweet. And gosh, this is Scorsese's first "major" win EVER! It feels so surreal.

Peace,
Mike.

Two of the greatest directors to ever live.........and some say that guy on the right is a pretty promising young actor ;) .

I can't wait for the reaction to a Scorsese win on Oscar night.

All it needed was De Niro on the other side!

It's not so much that he's tall but moreso how short Marty and Steven are. ;)
