This shit all started with the overrated Traffic. Oh I'd argue Grand Canyon set the groundwork long ago. I had erased the memory of that piece of trash from my memory, Crash really is the child of Grand Canyon, but Grand Canyon has faded into oblivion, thank God.
Also, it was not as loved as Traffic, you have no idea how happy I was to see Traffic lose the BP Oscar, it rocked my world.
Traffic said nothing profound about anything, Bencio Del Toro being good does not a good movie make.

Traffic started my lack of patience was this stuff, but I will admit I was able to watch traffic without wanting to kick a baby, but it was still bad.
I actually had to rewatch Grand Canyon about 2 years ago, I had forgotten had bad that was. The more Babel gets awards the attention the less I am interested. Everytime I read its an "important" film the chance I will see it decreases greatly.
I'm tired of "important" films that will change us as people, if Crash changed me, it just made me even bitchier.

Remove an Original Score nod or two from Showtime at the Apoll... er, Dreamgirls and Babel received the most Oscar nominations. The support is there, the love is there. If you want to be right come Oscar night, just LISTEN.  Babel is winning Best Picture.
