Post Corpse Bride VS Wallace & Grommit
Since they're two of the three nominated movies for animated feature, and the third is as obscure as they get (Howl's Moving what?), I was wondering which one would you prefer to see win. I know both films seem to have their followings here.

Hmph.

Even though I'm a huuuuge Miyazaki fan, I was underwhelmed with Howl overall so I'm rooting for Corpse Bride. (haven't seen W&G yet, though.)

I didn't mean to diss Castle, I'm just trying to compare the two mainstream features :P

I dont know how anyone could follow Corpse Bride. It was marginally better than Charlie.

Here's the thing, just because something is painstaking and looks good, does not mean it is good.

Haven't got a chance to see Howl's Moving Castle yet (I loved Spirited Away, though).

Out of these two, Corpse Bride was by far and away the better flick.

I'd prefer Corpse Bride.

Even if I wasn't too impressed, I'd like to see it win over Wallace & Gromit.

W&G by a long shot; Corpse Bride was not as funny, clever, or well written. And the critics agree, based on RT scores...

Of course, I know critics don't matter that much for Oscars, but hey...

I will note that Nick Park's animation has won Oscars whenever they have been nominated -- he hasn't lost yet. (Chicken Run came before the animated feature Oscar)

I haven't seen either, but I'm cheering for Corpse Bride.

It's not that I argue over the Oscar win. W&G has it locked up. I just don't think it is deserving. At all. Every single W&G short as well as Chicken Run were all better than the full-length W&G feature. Corpse Bride was much superior.

Wallace and Gromit all the way. It was easily the best of the animated features this year. If their shorts can win, so can this.

I didn't see Wallace and Gromit, but anything's got to be better than Corpse Bride. I think the awards should go:

Best Animated Feature: Wallace and Gromit
Best Visual Effects: Tie between RotS and Corpse Bride
Razzie for Worst Screenplay: Tie between RotS and Corpse Bride
