I SERIOUSLY think the lack of theatres will hurt any chance Huffman will have of winning if they don't act fast.
Anyway... ya, Walk the Line seems to have Reese Witherspoon pretty locked up for the win. And that's it!! Has TA even amassed a million yet? I mean, it's numbers are pathetic and quite frankly threaten it's chances. Huffman is popular right now and this movie could definately be rolling in cash right now. Big time. Movies like TA, so different and regarded somewhat highly only for a single performance AND makes pennies at the box office, hardly stand a serious threat at Oscar. Again, unfortunately. And North Hollywood? Isn't it sort of a crummy area? How dare you guys speak like that of my hometown!!! hehe. my original mistake. It's playing in West hollywood. On Sunset I think
The Laemmle? They always play exclusive engagements.

Ya, it's been playing there for over a month. I hope it doesn't end its run soon. I might go see it on Tuesday or something, I dunno. I was gonna see it today, but things didn't work out and I got lazy to even go to the gym which was 1 minute away.
edit: hehe... thought I was typin in the pube

No and I have absolutely no desire to see it either.. Seeing 2 Men clinch in a lip lock was enough to make me puke..

Well, there's a travesty this morning, dear. Walk the Line won't be winning Best Picture.
But take heart. That's what the Golden Globes are for.

I wouldn't even mind if you had bias against BBM, but how can you say WTL deserves it over BBM without having seen it?

That's questionable. I saw both, and feel Walk the Line should have at least been nominated! But, alas. I've been disappointed again. Now all my hope is on "Crash" to win.
