EXACTLY. 5 wonderful, deserving performances. One's gotta get snubbed so McDormand's cliched "strong, dying woman" can get in, pissing off all of us who have followed this dog and pony show for so long. What's Oscar Nomination morning without heaping helpings of nominee rage?
My money remains on Bello missing the cut.

but as McDormand is probably getting more support for Transamerica, isn't it possible that she gets left out here for suppoting actress.

Not my favorite theater but since over the last 5 years they have built up a couple of newer theaters that get all of the first run movies - this one is great as it holds onto the movies after they leave elsewhere.
Pretty good list of movies for free nights

Are you local? Cause 5 years ago, I used to alternate between Beverly Center and Beverly Connection as each got opening weeks movies.
But for me now I think that the Beverly Center Theater is pretty past it's time > small theaters, small screens, mostly except for 2/3, bad chairs, sometimes no A/C, etc.
Now I usually go
- The Grove
- Century City
- Arc Hollywood
- Mann's Hollywood
etc.

Yup. I live in The Valley. And the theatres you listed I usually frequent. Oh, the new Century City one. I know some managers there who usually hook me up. Hehe.
Didn't the Beverly Connection close down? That was the GC that became an AMC right?
