Now if Capote appears on here as well... *bangs head against the wall*

They still separate drama and musical/comedy right?

I'm predicting (for editing and picture):
- Brokeback Mountain
- Crash
- Good Night, and Good Luck
- Munich
- Walk the Line
Since editing and picture rarely match 5/5 (usually it's 3/5 or 4/5), The Constant Gardener might take Walk the Line's spot (for editing)...
Capote is out, just as I thought..

The Family Stone actually got something.
I'm a bit surprised not to see Syriana.
Walk the Line continues to show that it has the support needed from various factions.

Munich is in for Picture!!!
5th slot: Walk the Line ahead of Capote.
Heee.... Oscarwatch has Pride and Prejudice as surprise BP nominee. If it wins the Globe comedy over Walk the Line, then yes, it might be the 5th nominee.

Not to get into a Kong debate, but what the film could have used was better editing to trim the fat, so it's really not surprising to see it snubbed, and honestly, none of the snubs for it have been surprising.
Like I said, Peter Jackson was given a lifetime of love already. Three years in a row. The last thing these organizations are going to do is start showering him with more awards after only a one year break, especially for doing a remake of a classic about a giant monkey. If he ever wants more awards love, he's going to have to do something original to get it.

Yeah, Mav, actually you are right. Now Lucas has never got the Academy love despite making SIX Star Wars movies, hehehe.

I agree, the editing wasn't the best. Doesn't mean Jamie Selkirk absolutely won't grab a nomination on the 31st.

That's what everyone says. But you know, when you are already $5 billion worth, money is not what matters anymore, but rather aknowledgement.

Yeah, it's not like it's got absolutely no chance. I don't look for much to come Kong's way, though. That's not a knock on it, as I felt the same way last year about Spider-Man 2, it's just that it's a movie that these stiffs view as non Oscar fare.

 for The Family Stone
Seems like these are decent picks.
I still can't fathom how anyone could categorize WTL in Comedy or Musical.
The Capote v Walk the Line race is getting pretty damn interesting. I think Capote, at this point, is ahead by a few centimeters. One thing I had never realized or forgotten is that Capote has 100% COTC at rottentomatoes. I know critics, blah blah blah... but that does say something. WTL's persona is going to be hard to overcome though.

I don't see Walk the Line being ahead of Capote just because of this one guild. The Dramatic Feature category is so much more competitive than Musical/Comedy, so Capote missing there doesn't mean it's weaker than Walk the Line.
Munich gets one much needed guild. Still three films for two spots, IMO.
