What I would NOT like (and what I'm currently predicting) is a huge upset by American Sniper for Best Picture, against all odds.

You can see it right now with Moore on one side and Murdoch on the other. It's just too divisive and controversial. It can win technical awards, sure, but not the big one. And that's why I think Cooper doesn't have any chance either. Some people will think that honoring him is honoring the life of what they consider a murderer, and will vote for someone else.

So, who else thinks that The Grand Budapest Hotel will walk away with most wins? I see Original Screenplay, Art Direction, Costume Design and Score, with shots at Editing and Makeup.

 Re: Official Oscar nominations thread
The tide has really completely turned in Birdman's favor now, with it winning even the Sound guilds...
I think best-case scenario it could walk away with:
Best Picture Best Director Best Actor Best Original Screenplay Best Cinematography Best Sound Mixing
There is too much love among the guilds for it to win just cinematography as some of us have assumed at somne points. It will show strength. At least three of the above will happen.

I would probably cry from happiness if Birdman won.
