1. Zero Dark Thirty 2. Django Unchained 3. Moonrise Kingdom 4. Flight
Flight's nomination is undeserved. I do not mind the film (it is engaging and even moving at times), but its screenplay is its worst element. The strange decision to spend so much time developing the character of Nicole only to forget her halfway through the second act. The awful sermonizing at the end, and the son visiting because he has to write a paper on "the most interesting person I have never met." Although I also have problems with Looper's screenplay, which many people believe finished sixth. The spot should have gone to Arbitrage or Seven Psychopaths.
