I'm glad Mila Kunis and Amy Adams popped up here. And is that the first Hilary Swank mention?

I would have included The Town to the "Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture" category.

Yup, I agree.

PS. I always laughed when they showed an actor as an Academy Award winner for a non acting award win. Especially since how long ago was Good Willing Hunting, and he was the screenwriter.

So it is nice to see Ben Affleck proving himself as a Director, currently.

I used to believe this was The Fighter's to lose (as it should be, IMO), but now it seems in the bag for The King's Speech.

Yeah, the more interesting question now is if The King's Speech could steal another one outside Ensemble and Actor.

Ugh, Geoffrey Rush better not upset Christian Bale.

Because Bale is more deserving, and because you know what happens when Christian Bale gets upset.

The King's Speech should be disqualified from Ensemble because of the work of Timothy Spall as Churchill

Imagine the clusterfuck if TSN actually somehow wins this. Normally I'd say it won't (under any circumstances), simply due to the actors being so little known compared to the competition....but then again, Slumdog won...

A SAG win here does not necessarily mean Bale will still win the Oscar. While acting body are the group most likely to forgive Bale and relate to his frustrations, we may see a lot of the tech group voters in the Oscars refuse to vote for him. If Bale loses this at SAG, then he has 0% chance of winning the Oscar. I think there's still a chance he could lose the SAG since in 2003 they chose Johnny Depp over reputed jerks like Sean Penn and Bill Murray.

I hope Bale loses the Oscar to Rush.

He'll then get drunk, will put on the Batsuit, go over to Harvey Weinstein and kick his ass.

It's possible. It'd turn the race into a dead tie.

It seems SO unlikely, though.

The King's Speech has -Derek Jacobi-. :P

ok, after seeing TKS, I get the sudden change. It definitely has more heart than TSN. I might be rooting for it to upset in the supporting categories tonight.

Doesn't appear vote split will be a problem for Melissa Leo. She is the frontrunner in that category for sure.

Well, there's always Almost Famous and Marcia Gay Harden...
