Million Dollar Baby is now firmly in the lead. For it to lose now would be an upset. And Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, Upsets *DO* occur and I think were gonna see one this year, a big upset this year that will have critics and moviegoers jaws dropped for days to come over it..
LOL...is this sorta like your white noise opening weekend prediction?

Yeah but the difference is is that if WHITE NOISE would've opened on another 1000 screens that it didn't open on, it would've made 40 Million for the weekend... I know you hate this movie but it was a success and did so with what fewer screens it was released on.. What was it?? Like 2000 Screens VS The Maximum of 3000???

As this year's Oscars come to a close, our heroes walked out with the lion's share of the big awards, and put the cherry on top of this masterpiece movie, Million Dollar Baby.
Eastwood walked off with Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture.
Hilary Swank and Morgan Freeman won for their roles as well.

The night was festive, and the well earned victories for this timeless classic made for a memorable night. In a year that had long been determined to finally be "Marty's year", this masterpiece of filmmaking came out of nowhere, like a fighter who scored a knockout against all odds in the late rounds, and claimed it's very deserving titles of Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor, leaving poor Marty empty handed once again.

Scorcese definitely deserved better than what he received and the vote should've been spilt down the middle.. The Academy fucked up in that.. I sort of feel sorry for the guy.. Who knows how many movies this guy has left to make under his belt and he should've at least been recognized for it..

Good call, Mav! =D> I thought for sure Aviator would win.
On another note, the M$B win will surely launch Clint Eastwood's career and make him a household name.

You are still one of the least comprehensible people on the forum. Seriously, read the chat from yesterday, it was discussed. Most of your spam threads go unread and no one really understands what the hell you're talking about most of the time.
Is English your first language. Heck, fifth language?
And late as usual, I changed the sig last night before I posted weirdo.
I was the first to congratulate Mav and bow to the greatness of his Oscar prediction.

A few pictures from the press room and after party.
Hilary and Morgan
Clint, Babs, and Dustin
Clint introduces his mom to Hilary
this picture has nothing to do with Million Dollar baby , other than she's the one who presented Eastwood with best director, but I think Julia Roberts should have her picture taken more often 4 months after giving birth. I usually can't stand looking at her, but I got over it.

Uh yeah...
It was a very DULL story
NOTHING TO DO WITH FX EXPLOSIONS ETC
It just didn't do what it set out to do all that well
COULD HAVE BEEN ANY OLD GLOSSY TV MOVIE WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO IT
apart from Freeman who was excellent as always

That wasn't meant as a dig at you. My favorite kinds of movies are the FX type of movies, but I enjoy character pieces as well. You never seem to talk about them, except to blow them off as "TV movies", as if you don't think those have any quality to them, and they do. There aren't any character piece movies that a similiar description couldn't be applied to. It doesn't mean the don't have tremendous quality, as you seem to imply. When you don't rely on action, comedy, FX, and other things to entertain, you would be surprised at how much you can enjoy a story, and DULL is not a word that describes the story of Million Dollar Baby, but it's ok that it wasn't your cup of tea.
