The production value and huge ensemble cast. It had about seven or eight big stars in it I think. I don't know, this year is remarkable tough to call though...Lets see how far off the mark I am. Some of you might have hit closer on the target blindfolded actually.
What if there isn't a split....
That would be killer.

I really like you article, Galia! Even if I don't agree with a lot of it.
Yeah. Shut it, BKB. :razz:

Thanks. :grin:
If there wasn't a split than Scorsese will take both. I just don't see it happening the otherway. I think mostly because of buzz I get that feeling. And when did members have to vote by? Just wondering. Didn't they cast their ballots almost a month ago?

@Dolce
After having seen Sideways, I wholeheartedly agree on Virginia Madsen with you. It's not like she was bad or anything, I just don't think she was anywhere near oscarworthy (unlike Blanchett and Portman). She was good, but she didn' really have any scene that stood out. Mostly she is just softly and longingly gazing at Giamatti throughout the movie as you said. I still disagree that she will win, but I agree that she isn't really deserving of a nomination in my opinion. I think the real highlights of Sideways were Thomas Haden Church and Paul Giamatti who was unrightfully snubbed!
