Re: What Happens If Pixar Pulls A F 9/11 With WALL-E? It's really the only way it could get back into contention at this point, as buzz has quieted so very much for it (Hell, even TDK is beginning to seem not quite as sane as it did a month ago). But even then it needs a lot more to make that work.
And while the move would make plenty of sense if they REALLY wanted a Picture nom, I have a hard time seeing them actually doing it. And for that, it remains well out of my predictions.

But right now, it does not. There's too small of a chance it gets in (unless the rest of the year seriously disappoints), and no chance it wins. Better off going with the guaranteed nom and win in animated.
If it had become a phenom, it would have been a good move. It would have gotten in for BP and had a good shot at the win.
