Heh, I love how The Dark Knight and The Wrestler were their only BP nominees to get acting nominations.

Pretty fascinating to see Doubt continue getting 4 acting noms, even without a screenplay nom this time.

INdeed.

It would be exciting to see this go by the way of Othello (1965?) come Oscar time. I think that had all four of its principal cast get nominated, without getting any other nominations: Laurence Olivier, Frank Finlay, Joyce Redman, Maggie Smith.

Yep. Though I think A. Screenplay is so weak this year that it still gets in there.

In Bruges again! Nothing would excite me more nomination morning than a nomination for O. Screenplay.

Milk is starting to look weak to me for Best Pic and/or Best Director. What a shame...

You know, it's funny because when I read the BP noms, I thought how crazy it would be if the big surprising omission (there's usually one or two every year) at the Oscars ended up being Milk losing a BP nom. Never in a million years will it happen, but still.

The BP lineup is really my dream Oscar lineup.

Edit: Haha, I just realized you meant it WINNING BP, not getting nominated. Still, that's what crossed my mind when I read it. I won't lie about my silliest of thoughts.

No you were right the first time. I'm fearing Milk will miss BP nomination a la Dreamgirls or Into the Wild.

That would start a pattern... Sean Penn/Emile Hirsch movies don't fly with Oscars ;)

umm..might as well be called "Unemployed Film Critics Awards," which makes this just about as relevant as KJ.

Shush, snack! At least they are more interesting to read than the PGA noms.

I think the most AWESOME thing is the Best Adapted Screenplay nomination for Let the Right One In. My dream would be the Academy following suit.

The Wrestler sweeped noms big time.

And everytime Eddie Marsan appears among these, I'm happy :)

It would be awesome if Wrestler, Wall-E, and Dark Knight get best picture nods
