I saw Atonement today and to my complete surprise, I really enjoyed it. It's now found it's way on my Top 10 list. And hopefully I can see There Will Be Blood on the 21st.

Re: WorldofKJ Top 10 Films Of 2007 (Extended Until 21st)
saw Atonement today, and although it got a B+ from me, that still puts it in the low 20s among 2007 films, so it didn't come that close to a nomination. Disappointing, even if extremely well-handled.

Saw La Vie En Rose (it didn't make it). Will see Away from Her and probably The Mist over the weekend.

I'm seeing Sweeney Todd this weekend. Obviously, it's going to have to be damned impressive to crack my top ten.

Re: WoKJ Top 10 Films Of 2007 Discussion (DUE MONDAY)
I'm going to go back and revise a couple rankings on my list, and that is that. Sweeney Todd could be a last minute addition (seeing it today), and There Will Be Blood won't make the list since I haven't seen it. (Damn it, get here already!) Other than those two and Diving Bell and the Butterfly (which I'll probably see when it opens here), I've seen pretty much every big 2007 release I set out to.

Re: WoKJ Top 10 Films Of 2007 Discussion (DUE MONDAY)
I decided to have a movie marathon so I saw There Will Be Blood, The Savages and Atonement in theaters within the last 12 hours So my top ten now stands as 1. Into the Wild 2. There Will Be Blood 3. Bug 4. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 5. In the Valley of Elah 6. The Savages 7. No Country for Old Men 8. Zodiac 9. Eastern Promises 10. Juno I was 2 for 2 today until I got to Atonement...a solid movie but a major letdown at the same time.

At least you have Bug at #3 and Jesse James for #4, so I'll forgive you for not loving Atonement (you voted for the KJ awards, right?)

Re: WoKJ Top 10 Films Of 2007 Discussion (DUE MONDAY)
I have No Country on my computer, I'm debating whether to watch it today to get it on the list or wait a month until I can see it in a theatre
I'm also seriously questioning which of my top 3 to put #1
TOO MUCH PRESSURE

Unless I see Clayton tonight, mine's final. Persepolis and Into the Wild both missed. (Persepolis by a bit, Wi;d by a lot)

Re: WoKJ Top 10 Films Of 2007 Discussion (DUE TODAY!!!!)
Unless I get out of my first class early today, I won't be able to see There Will Be Blood so my list would be final. Not unless Sunshine really blows me away.
