 Re: Red One
Well I saw this yesterday and its standard holiday fare but there were moments of dialogue where I almost burst out laughing in the theater for how cringe some of the lines Evans and The Rock had to recite. And this is The Rock afterall, his dialogue can often be cringe but this is definitely 10X but works I guess in a holiday movie.
It was enjoyable at moments but nothing too memorable. Some of the scenery was nice and I at least found it better than Red Notice with The Rock.

 Re: Red One
Mostly lame, but the big finale was kinda cool. I think the biggest mistake of the movie is that Chris Evans and his son should have swapped roles. The first 80% of the movie is badly missing some childlike wonder since both lead characters are very cynical (goof cynical vs serious cynical.) Also needed a lot more of the polar bear man. You can tell it really wants to be a Goonies/Hocus Pocus type holiday classic for Christmas, they just missed the mark.

 Re: Red One
I found this is to be fine, it's not a Christmas classic by any means, but it has the elements and for this time of the year it works just well enough to be watchable. Some of the action is a bit boring and while the cast mostly just goes through the motions it's hard not see J.K. Simmons as an ideal Santa and Liu just makes every film better too I feel. In many ways this film reminded me of Red Notice, title, star, release type, it's just big budget, low attention type viewing. It does enough to not be terrible/ bad and not enough to be more than predictable blockbuster fare. The montage at the end with Santa at work on Christmas eve is the best part about it for me.

 Re: Red One
I saw Dear Santa today on Prime and it just makes Red One seem even better for Amazon Christmas fare.
Dear Santa is about a boy with dyslexia who accidentally sends a letter to Satan instead of Santa played by Jack Black. Full of poop jokes and all and a Post Malone concert.
