 Deep Water  Quote: Deep Water is a 2022 erotic psychological thriller film directed by Adrian Lyne,[3] based on the 1957 novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith, from a screenplay by Zach Helm and Sam Levinson. The film stars Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas, with Tracy Letts, Lil Rel Howery, Dash Mihok, Finn Wittrock, Kristen Connolly, Jacob Elordi and Rachel Blanchard appearing in supporting roles. It marks Lyne's return to filmmaking after a 20-year absence since his last film Unfaithful (2002) and also Disney's first erotic film in 28 years since Color of Night (not counting any from Miramax Films before 2010, nor those inherited from the 20th Century Fox catalog).
Deep Water was released on Hulu on March 18, 2022, following several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Re: Deep Water This was awful, and not even in a so bad its good way. It feels hacked and edited to death and for an erotic thriller it's dreadfully boring. All the performances are bad too. I understand why it sat on the shelf for so long. D

Re: Deep Water Effective erotic-thriller, de Armas and Affleck provide dramatic turns and it has a good cast in general. It's shot well, with a 90's feeling to it, the score is good too and the story is pretty engaging. Some aspects feel a bit unbelievable or underdeveloped, but despite that it I thought it has nice pacing and is quite enjoyable.
