 Re: The To Do List
I think this one could've been a little bit more raunchier. I liked it but for an R rated comedy about sex it seemed a little too tame. This is also the case where the trailer seemed like it showed way too much. Aubrey Plaza is an interesting and different leading girl. Does she carry the film? For the most part yeah. The supporting cast is very enjoyable as well. The scene where Johnny Simmons confronts Plaza about the list in her room is adorably pathetic.

THE TO DO LIST
This is quite a hit/miss film. It has lots of very crude humor. The comedy is sometimes really good and really flat. I think Aubrey's character does get a bit old as the film goes along. Her schtick almost becomes annoying. I really liked Rachel Bilson. She's a very beautiful lady and was funny in her role. I went into this film thinking it would a female version of America Pie in some way but it ended up being a not so memorable comedy in the end.

I think it's funny that so many people are saying this is more raunchy than they thought it would be. Guess I'm a perv or something.

 Re: The To Do List
I saw this last night and thought it was HILARIOUS and a lot of fun. It's definitely one of the best comedies of the summer. The entire cast, made up of a whos-whos list of names from basically all your favorite TV shows, is fantastic and I can't think of one weak link. Aubrey Plaza's deadpan style of humor is perfect for this character and so many of the situations she gets into are ridiculously awkward. I also thought it was very well-written and smart, and treated its characters with a surprising amount of respect given the subject matter. I also found the ending fairly refreshing. I'd highly recommend this. A-

Hallelujah!
The To-Do List is the Pretty In Pink of the twenty-teens!
It's a true pleasure to witness the birth of a future cult classic such as this... and sure, the screenplay could've been even sharper...
...but whatever - - that Aubrey Plaza is just so darn adorable that I'll likely always be a passenger in any movie vehicle she chooses to comandeer.

 Re: The To Do List
One of the more uneven comedies I've seen in a while. But when it's funny, it's really funny. Aubrey Plaza does a good job anchoring something for the first time, and the stellar supporting cast she is surrounded with help bring out the laughs. I just wish it was more consistent. B-

I don't think she usually watches indie films unless they're the ones that break out into the mainstream.

Well you should post about them once you see them on DVD. I'm sure a lot of us would love to know what you thought of them.

 Re: The To Do List
This was awesome. Equally hysterical and adorable. Aubrey Plaza deserves to be such a star.

 Re: The To Do List
Better than I expected. I enjoyed Aubrey's character and the way things ended up, as most other movies would have tried to pair off every single character in the cast with each other.
B
I think the movie could have actually been a much bigger hit if the editing and soundtrack would have been polished up more. A la a Superbad with female leads.

Eh, it is short. Needed tits or heart or something. I still like Aubrey but this had a chuckle or two and no real laughs.
