3/10 -> D-
Cage is no stranger when it comes to bad movies, but even when Kidman acts in one, it's at least somewhat different. What anyone saw in this Schumacher's mess is beyond me. Terrible movie.

 Re: Trespass
Indeed, it's fairly bad. After the thieves are in the house, it goes in maddening circles.
"Open the safe." Cage: "NO! Oh, God, no! You'll just shoot us anyway!" *thief punches Cage" Cage: "Ow!" "Open it!" "NO, Oh, God, no! You'll just shoot us anyway!"
This scene plays out so many times.
I'm honestly a bit of a fan of Schumacher. I completely enjoy The Lost Boys, Falling Down, Phone Booth, and especially Tigerland and The Phantom of the Opera. But he completely fumbled this one. It has no sense of claustrophobia or style. The pacing is too lax to generate tension. The use of flashbacks is pure slop.

 Re: Trespass
This film was a disaster. The entire plot and sub-plots associated with it were competely stupid, idiotic, and downright just sad to be put all together in one film. There are hints of good ""terrible Nic Cage" here but even he can't save this trainweck. Also, it is a shame Nicole Kidman got dragged along for the ride. No Stars

Trespass
Generic home invasion/hostage for money thriller starring a below-par Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman. Not one of Joel Schumacher's best by any means, but it isn't totally shit. It starts better than if finishes.
