Great movie, so suspenseful, it's amazing! Makes me almost forget that Schumacher ruined the Batman franchise...

It's amazing how they could make a great movie with a guy just standing in a phone booth.

This movie was awesome. Seriously, it was a really shocker on how good it was. I thought it would be stupid considering the whole movie was in a phone booth, but it was just so good. Too short though. B+

Very good thriller. This movie proved to me that Colin Farrel is more than just hype. He carried the movie very well in what is almost a one man show. Kiefer Sutherland also was great as the 'voice'. I have only seen it once and have wondered if it holds up as well on repeat viewings. I rate it a B.

I would have given it a B had the ending not drizzled out so much. It was just dull, to me. It lacked enough substance. Nice cinematography and acting, but it was too stale for me. :?

Great concept, bravely directed, terrific acting. Joel Schumacher's best movie (not that that is a compliment). It exactly knows how long the idea is fascinating. Ten minutes more and the movie would have been boring, but with this short run time it's perfect (A-)

Amazing movie. Great acting by Farrell and superb direction by Schumacher. As Levy has said, it's probably his best movie. Unfortunately, it loses some of its impact with repeate viewings, but it is still one of the most suspenseful pieces of cinema, I have ever seen. The confession scene is amazing.

Re: Phone Booth
{My original review from April 2003: }
A slight but enjoyable little thriller told with an unusual moralistic twist. I liked the performances of the lead and supporting actors as well as director Schumacher's use of assorted camera effects, including split screens. The 81 minute running time was just enough to keep this little bauble afloat.
4 out of 5.

Re: Phone Booth
A terrific script and morality tale, but I can't but feel Collin's acting is a little too whiny at times, sure it fits the character, but perhaps, I don't know, a little annoying after a while. Also some of the editing and directing choices I didn't agree with. Still the script sells this for me.
