 Re: Rio
Quite disappointingly juvenile despite some really lovely animation.
Story was so shit actually. Rio deserves better than this and so do dancing, musical birds.

 Re: Rio
this movie was averge,,, packed with the same stupid jokes we've seen over and over in films like ice age, madagascar, shrek,,, the story was plain, but the animation was stunning, at least kids and moms enjoyed it

 Re: Rio
I liked it a lot. The two lead birds are adorable, and Tracy Morgan's psychotic bulldog is hilarious. The other characters are fun too. The musical scenes were a bit annoying, but not as bad as Madagascar. The birds vs monkeys fight was also a great bit.
And the animation is truly breathtaking. B+

 Re: Rio
Rio has some good animation but the story could have been so much better with the premise given. The fact that these two birds are the last of their species, they could have explored a lot more with that but instead we get a simple capture and escape film. The voice acting from Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway is good but that is about it. Those music numbers were atrocious. This could have been much better but in the end it did not quite make it. **

 Re: Rio
Just saw this on TV so I didn't get the 3D version that may have made it more enjoyable in the theatres.
The plot was predictable, the music forgettable, but it was a pleasant diversion. Nothing great, but from this studio I never expect much. A solid C.
