El ángel exterminador [The Exterminating Angel]
The Exterminating AngelQuote: The Exterminating Angel (Spanish: El ángel exterminador), is the second of the Buñuel/Alatriste/Pinal film trilogy, written and directed by Luis Buñuel, starring Silvia Pinal, and produced by her then-husband Gustavo Alatriste.
It is considered by the Mexican film critics as the 16th best film of the Mexican cinema and one of the best 1000 films by the New York Times.
The Exterminating Angel was released on R4 DVD by Madman Entertainment's Directors Suite in 2006. The Criterion Collection released the film on DVD in 2009.

No car chase, no points. Sorry.

Re: El ángel exterminador [The Exterminating Angel]
There's a lot to say about the movie. I like the spoof of the high society in a house and things go wrong theme. Buenel, whom I have only seen an animated short film from before, is more subtle and somber than I expected based on what I'd heard. The movie is more psychological and less conceptual than I would have expected, which is actually effective and fascinating. The treatment of their inability to escape the room as little more than an odd fact that must be dealt with creates an atmosphere of realism despite a preposterous concept. I loved the movie but wouldn't consider it "greatest thing ever zomg!" material.

Exactly. If they don't know how to behave, and feel OK offending others, they get their ass kicked, so they'll think next time before opening their rotten mouths.

That's MA's best piece of writing yet.
I love this movie. See Viridiana!
