 Overboard Overboard Quote: Overboard is a 1987 American romantic comedy film starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. It was directed by Garry Marshall, produced by actor Roddy McDowell (who also cameos as the wise butler Andrew) and loosely inspired by the 1974 Italian film Swept Away. In turn, Overboard was adapted into the 2006 South Korean television series, Couple or Trouble.

Nice and cozy, nice concept, I love Kurt Russel/Goldie Hawn, but it had some flaws. I didn't like the whole southern and hillbilly effect in it, and the kids were annoying. I think it would've been better if he was a city guy. Maybe they should slightly rehash it today to our standards, its a good idea so I'm sure it would work.

My favorite romcom ever! Kurt Russell has always been one of the funniest actors around, and he was hysterical in this. Goldie Hawn was also in great form, and the movie has heart.

Re: Overboard Kurt and Goldie were probably the only couple of the last 20 years that had real chemistry on film and off screen. Very funny fluffy 80s comedy with an interesting idea.
