In addition to being one of my favorite films, it is also one of the best-acted, most well-written I've ever seen. The entire cast (which is only four people, considering the film is based on a play) is tremendous, particularly Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in (arguably) career-best performances. A+

A fantastic showcase of acting from the four involved...it's a daring, wonderfully written and directed film. This proves why Nichols is one of greatest living directors.

One of the best adaptations ever put on film. One of the best acted. And of the best films ever made, period. A must see for any film fan.

The play is also a good read, snack (it's the exact same as the film). I read it for a summer assignment in AP Lit when I was in high school. I was so impressed that I wrote this amazing essay on it because I had so much to say about the play and its implications. One of the most memorable works I've ever read.

^ for a good damn reason, for you made remember the time I saw it when I rented it from the public Library.

I paid nothing to see it and it was marvelous all of it.

Instant inclusion to my top 10-20 all time. A lot of credit goes to the playwright, but I've also hardly seen any better performances than in this. Burton is the finest - How he didn't win Best Actor is one of the biggest academy travesties. It's the best male performance I've seen.
