Bratz: The Movie
Bratz: The MovieQuote: Bratz: The Movie (or simply Bratz) is a live-action feature film based on the Bratz line of cartoon characters and dolls. It was released to American theaters on August 3, 2007. It was co-produced by MGA Entertainment, Avi Arad Productions, and Crystal Sky Pictures teamed up. Crystal Sky Pictures financed the film, while Avi Arad and MGA executive produced. The screenplay was written by John Doolittle and Susie Singer Carter.
Paula Abdul was dropped from the production before the completion of the film. She was originally enlisted to provide wardrobe designs, choreograph the film, executive produce, as well as hold a role in the film. This was revealed on Hey Paula, her own reality show on her personal life. It has been speculated her erratic behavior may have been a reason behind her involvement in the film being cut.
The film was shot at Santee Educational Complex in South Los Angeles, California, while in session. The film was universally panned by critics.

Re: Bratz: The Movie
Horrid from beginning to excrutiating end. I love Lionsgate but my loyalty has pretty much run out after witnessing this abomination in the name of studio fandom. What was only 90 minutes seemed like at least double that. The final musical number seemed to last forever!
And what the hell is Jon Voight doing in this?!
Grade - F

I think he has some sort of marital bond with Lionsgate or something.

Re: Bratz: The Movie
Bratz is the biggest surprise of the year. This is easily the best film about teenagers ever made, and will someday be incorporated onto an AFI list. The "BFF" declaration is so fresh and original, I can't believe it took until the release of Bratz for people to start saying something so original and clever. Don't miss this treasure. A+

Now I want to know why the fuck did you see it, Joe? Seriously, wtfuckinghell? Did the 11 year old girl's mother's look at you like you were a pedophile about to kidnap and molest their daughters?

Yeah, Joe, how can you justify going to see Bratz but thinking Hairspray looks like an abomination? I don't get it.

Re: Bratz: The Movie
In Joe's defense, Bratz looks slightly better than Hairspray.

I was the only male in the theatre and I had to go up to the teller and say "1 for Bratz please." Bratz often plays like a musical so... (It's either a montage or a full on musical number)

Re: Bratz: The Movie
The only reason I would be even halfway mildly interested in seeing this is because I've never given a movie an F before, and I figure it could be an interesting experience. Otherwise, no...just, no.

What if I told you that one of the girls is Spanish and one of the recurring jokes in the movie is how she has a Mariachi band living in her kitchen (but who also show up at other random places as well for no apparent reason).
